horribly cold outside?

hey guys, i know at least some of you have to be sharing this horribly cold weather right now with me!

it was -3 when i woke up this morning, and we've warmed up today to a high of a toasty 5 degrees.

but it's also incredibly windy! 20mph winds makes for a -15+ wind chill factor. half of the high schools around here are closed today because it's just that cold outside. which, is stupid consideirng most schools are enclosed, so once you're in there, you're okay! us poor college kids have to walk all over campus up and down hills and we have no such luck with cancellations.

anybody else freezing their hiney off? i know i am. it literally hurts if you have any skin exposed.

i miss tennessee!! hahah

I'm at my grandparents' house in Georgia right now, so it's not that bad outside. I'm in for a shock when we head back to PA tomorrow, though! I can't even imagine it being that cold!

yeah i agree it is extremely cold outside I can't stand it anymore. I love walking places (most of my friends live close, same with the food places we go to etc) but now i just have to get rides and even then its still freezing in the car. the good news is the ground hog came out

i guess they want the last few weeks of winter to be the coldest

Did the ground hog say it was suppose to be an early spring? I hope so, because has been in the negatives at night here in Indiana. It SUCKS!!!

well i think it is freezing here. but yall would think it was hot. it's in the 30s! that is very cold for down here. i can't imagine being in the negatives!

haha yeah, it makes me miss tennessee a wholee lot.

but i just booked a flight last evening for New Orleans - i'm going to be there the same weekend that Colie will be!!!

here's to meeting my first reality tv celebrity : ) oh and here's to warming up, too!! i hope it's a little bit nicer weather down there...

i dont mind cold weather . the thing about north carolina weather is that its freezing one day then sunny the next. thats what makes everyone sick. if it just stays one way then its much better.

Im pretty sure we havent made it over 0 degrees for 5 or so days. And we have been as low as -35 (WITHOUT windchill) the last few days. Im not sure, but i would guess Minnesota has the lowest average temp this time of year of the lower 48 states.

Its no fun really, i mean who wants to step outside and have their snot INSIDE their nostrils freeze immediately?!? Thats what happens to us when its that cold.

Gah lee, it was freezing today... it was in the 60s! I had to wear a jacket, it was ridiculous

I hate that feeling when the snot freezes inside your nostrils...ick...

If it's -35 without the windchill then what is the windchill (dare I ask...)? Are they closing schools and all that jazz up in Minnesota? I mean surley they are if they are closing schools in IN.

ya it really does freeze! like you know how your nose runs when its 30 degrees there? well when its below 0 it runs too, and when you sniff you can feel it freeze inside your nose...its crazy dude, believe me!

And GGG, schools were closes all over the state a few days ago when it was at the coldest....its just weird to think a school full of kids could be stopped by coldness. I dont recall that happening when i was still in school!

yeah, they've been doing that to schools around here - which doenst really make sense considering once you go into the school you're not leaving.. in college we are walking all around campus. where's our days off?!

and yeah i'm pretty stoked about the colie thing, i hope i get to party with her!

i will be sure to post pictures if i am successful in my endeavor

oh yea and my nose runs all year long and especially when it is cold so i'm glad i don't live where my snot freezes. that would suck!
