Survivor 12: Madagascar: Episode 3

Episode 3:

Previously on Survivor Madagascar:
- After Bart threw in a random vote for Benjamin and tried to make people paranoid on where the other vote came from
- Jeffry and Jet confirmed Wanda in as their third alliance member
- And Wanda also gets closer to John
- Over at Betioky Tracey and Benjamin aligned as a duo
- At the reward challenge it was a close battle, but Toliara won it easily
- Winning pillows and blankets
- Keeping their immunity streak they also won the immunity challenge
- They then sent Bart to exile, hoping it would weaken him
- Margie was the obvious target and it seemed like a no brainer
- But Benjamin and Tracey tried to spare her to send Paula home
- In the end it worked and they got the votes to send Paula home 4-2

NIGHT 6:

Bart *I just learned at exile that there are keys and whomever has the right key will open up a prize at the merge, so the way I see it. The less people with keys going into the merge the better my odds. So I want Margie out because I know she has a key, so if she survived tonight, she is going home if I have anything to say about it!*

Roger: Bart, we are back!
Bart: Who’s gone?
Margie: Paula’s done!
Bart: Wow
(they walk into the camp)
Bart: So what happened?
Annie: I have no clue, they completely left me out of this one, so I would like an explanation myself!
Benjamin: I voted for her because I thought she brought nothing to this team
Annie: Okay fine, if she was the one to go, fine! That is not why I am upset, why was I not informed, last I heard it was Margie going home, why did no one tell me the change of plan?
Tracey: Sorry Annie, but we thought you were stuck on sending Margie home, we thought it would best not to tell you in case you tried anything weird
Annie: Alright, but from now on, please tell me!
Tracey: Okay!
Bart: Wow, good one to miss by the sounds of it!

Annie *I was so upset that Margie is still here, that makes me a shinning target, everyone is going to look at me and think I am the one who did not vote with majority. I am freaking out right now, I do not want to be the next person to go home! Not yet!*

Margie: Let’s just relax and go to sleep
Bart: Ya it’ll be nice to sleep in the shelter tonight
Roger: Ya how was exile?
Bart: Just as Margie said it was, boring and cold at nights
(they all nod)
(everyone goes to sleep)

DAY 7:

Toliara:

Keelie *The nights out here suck, I knew they would be hard and I expected that, but it’s been a week and I have hardly gotten any sleep and it’s starting to really get to me. I want just get a regular bed for one day, then I would feel I was ready for the rest of the game! But that’s not going to happen and I fear the worse!*

Keelie: I am so tired, I am not getting any sleep
Basil: I don’t think any of us are
Keelie: Ya, but I am getting so much less, I wake up in the middle of night so many times, just to see everyone else sleeping! I mean the blankets are helping, but not enough and I am getting so tired!
Jet: Well just hold on honey, you can get through this, we know it will be hard, but you have faith in you
Keelie: I just need sleep, I feel I would be doing so great if I could just get a straight 5 hours of sleep, that’s all I ask!
Wanda: Well I don’t know what to say sweetheart
Keelie: That’s the problem, it no ones fault, you guys are all great and I am not blaming you, I just need to vent!
Millie: You are strong, you can do this!
(she hugs her)

Millie *Keelie is struggling out here, I feel really bad for her and what she’s going through, but I can’t help but smile inside, because I feel now everyone is looking at her like an easy vote, which keeps me around for even longer and that is obviously the main goal!*

(Millie and Zachary)

Millie: What did you think of Keelie condition this morning?
Zachary: Well I feel bad, I mean I don’t know why she is having such a hard time getting any sleep! I mean I got a good 4-5 hours last night, I don’t know what going on with her
Millie: I think if we lose the immunity challenge, she should be the one to go
Zachary: Because she can’t sleep?
Millie: Well that is part of it, but I mean her lack of sleep is slowing her down in both challenges and camp life, plus she’s miserable! I think it would be best for the whole tribe!
Zachary: Well I am not going to get ahead of myself, if we happen to lose immunity, which I doubt will happen, but if it does then we’ll see how she’s doing by then, right now I am just winging it!
Millie: Ya I understand
Zachary: We’ll see how this goes

Zachary *Keelie is struggling a bit out here, but I was very annoyed how immediately after Keelie expresses her frustration that Millie just jumps on that and says, Keelie’s got to go, she is the one, let’s vote her out! It was a little sickening, I mean we have yet to lose a challenge, we don’t need to jump into this target mode! I don’t know it just really bothered me!*

Betioky:

Benjamin *We voted off Paula last episode and Annie was very angry we did not include her, but I bet if we had, she was would said it sounded stupid and done everything she could to change our minds. And I didn’t want to listen to that, so I do not regret my decision to leave her out of the loop!*

(Roger and Annie)

Roger: I wanted to talk to you!
Annie: What’s up?
Roger: Just so you know, I didn’t want to vote off Paula and go against you
Annie: So what happened?
Roger: Well Tracey and Benjamin came up to me and said that they were going to vote for Paula and explained why I should. I wasn’t sure, but they told me it would be a tie if I didn’t, so I just took the safe route and avoided a tie, cause you never know what a tie could do!
Annie: Interesting
Roger: Ya
Annie: So you think that Tracey, Benjamin and Margie have a deal?
Roger: It wouldn’t surprise me, why else would they want to keep Margie so bad, I mean she’s not really worth keeping
Annie: Exactly, wow, we could be in trouble then!
Roger: Well we can still force a tie!
Annie: No, Toliara will send one of us to exile! If they send me or you, we’re screwed! But if they send Benjamin or Tracey we can vote Margie out if we get Bart in this
Roger: Right! So that figures! The other tribe holds our fate and they don’t even know this!
Annie: Well we just need to hope they pick one of them!
Roger: We need to talk to Bart
Annie: I’m sure he’d side with us, he’s not dumb! Problem is, Bart is strong, odds are they will either target me or you and since I was in the minority I fear they will come after me!
Roger: We just to start winning these challenges! If we can take the next four immunity challenges we won’t have to worry at all about this!
Annie: I sure hope we can do that!

Roger *I definitely feel I made the wrong move last night, not only do I feel we are a weaker tribe now with Margie still here, but I feel that Benjamin, Tracey and Margie will just take this game by storm, so I am very worried right now!*

Later:
Benjamin: Treemail guys!
Bart: What does it have to say to us this time?
Benjamin:
“You must face off one on one
It will take endurance and balance
If you can master you’re opponent
You’ll be one step closer to your goal!”
Annie: Endurance for a reward challenge? Interesting

REWARD CHALLENGE:

Jeff: Come on in Toliara, please welcome the new Betioky tribe, Paula voted out at the last Tribal Council!
(they all nod)
Jeff: Okay here is how today challenge will work, each tribe has a large trough filled with water. Each individual will have a small pail, you will fill that up with water and cross a narrow balance beam. When you reach the end pour your water into your own individual large bucket. Now you will be paired off, male VS male, female VS female. After 10 minutes which ever individual that you are against will be all that you are competing with, whomever has the most water scores the point. It takes four points to win. If we have a tie, then we will look at the whole tribes total as a combined weight. Does everyone understand?
All: Yes
Jeff: Here is what you are competing for…
(he reveals fishing gear)
Jeff: This is a Hawaiian sling, fishing line, bait, tackle, everything you need to catch some food! If you can’t catch anything with this, go home now! Worth playing for?
All: Yes
Jeff: Okay Toliara you are two members ahead, you need to sit out two people, remember they cannot sit out in back to back challenges and you need to sit out one man and one woman!
Keelie: John and I will sit out!
Jeff: Alright, everyone I will randomly choose your partner…


Jeff: Okay the partners you are competing against are:
Jeffry VS Benjamin
Wanda VS Annie
Millie VS Tracey
Zachary VS Bart
Basil VS Margie
Jet VS Roger

Jeff: SURVIVOR’S READY! GO!!

All twelve Survivor’s start collecting water and going across their beams

Millie falls
Margie slips
Roger loses his balance
Clips show many people’s falls
Other clips show people are pouring in water
Jeff: Everyone doing well, getting some water in their buckets
…
Jeff: 2 more minutes!!
…
Jeff: 5… 4… 3… 2… 1… TIME! Everyone stop!
(everyone stops where they are and gets off the balance beams)
Jeff: It is time to see who got the most water in
(Jeff walks over to Jeffry and Benjamin)


Jeff: Jeffry has more water, that is one point for Toliara

(he walks over to Wanda and Annie)


Jeff: Wanda has more water, that is a 2-0 for Toliara

(he walks over to Millie and Tracey)


Jeff: Millie has more water! Toliara is now leading 3-0

(he walks over to Zachary and Bart)



Jeff: Bart you need more water then Zachary to stay in this…


Jeff: … but you do not, Zachary has more water!

Jeff: TOLIARA WINS REWARD!
(they jump up and cheer)

Jeff: For the record, Margie did beat Basil, and Roger did beat Jet, so it was a 4-2 victory, none the less Toliara takes the cake!
(the cheer some more)
Jeff: Well Toliara after winning four straight challenges, you will also receive fishing gear, which should make eating and fishing a lot easier! Betioky another good attempt, but another loss! You can all head back to camp!
(they leave)

Toliara:

Jeffry *We won reward yet again, we are just on cloud 9, it doesn’t seem like that other tribe can beat us, no matter how hard they try we always come out on top. And I am just ready to crush their spirits, I feel it is close!*

Zachary: So who wants to be the first one to go fishing?
Jet: I am definitely all over that
Jeffry: I’ll go with you for sure
Zachary: Okay let’s go
(Zachary, Jet and Jeffry go off fishing)

Jet *It would be great to get some protein into our bodies, to give us even more of an advantage. I mean out plan to send Bart to exile worked perfectly because Zachary was able to beat Bart and because of that we didn’t have to go to the tie breaker!*
(they continue fishing)

Wanda: I hope they catch something
Keelie: I’m sure they will, I have faith in them
John: Well I am going to take a nap, till they get back
Basil: Keelie, you should try and take a nap too
Keelie: Ya okay, I’ll try!

Basil *Very early on, I hated Keelie, she was whining and annoying, but she is a sweet girl and I really hope she starts to be able to sleep better out here! Because we need all the strength we can get!*
(they boys come back from fishing)

Millie: Did you catch anything?
Jet: Oh ya… lots!
Wanda: Awesome
Jeffry: Where’s John and Keelie?
Basil: They’re taking a nap!
Jeffry: Is Keelie actually sleeping?
Wanda: Ya, look at her
(they look around at Keelie sleeping)
Zachary: Oh good, well let’s not wake her, we’ll eat when they get up

(an hour later Keelie and John wake up)

Keelie: How long was I out?
Basil: Oh you’re up! About an hour and a half!
Keelie: Well that’s good
Jet: Come on over here and check out all the fish we caught
John: Oh really that is awesome!
Keelie: Aww way to go guys!
(they cook and eat the fish)

DAY 8:

Betioky:

Roger *Me and Annie need to get Bart in our plan to vote off Margie if we have to go to Tribal Council again, because if he’s not with us, then we have absolutely no chance of surviving*

(Roger, Annie and Bart)

Roger: So Bart, what are your thoughts if we have to go back to Tribal Council?
Bart: Honestly, I really think Margie needs to go, she is slowing us down and she is not that strong in much of anything!
Annie: Oh I am so glad you agree, we brought you here to try and convince you we need Margie to go home
Bart: Oh really, then we are all on the same page!
Roger: Well that’s half the battle
Annie: Problem is, we think Benjamin, Tracey have a deal with Margie
Bart: Why would they?
Annie: I don’t know, but if they send Ben or Tracey to exile, then we got majority right here, but if they send me or Roger then we need to really use our magic!
Bart: Right! I just hope we win immunity though, I am sick of losing
Roger: Ya I know, we need to either win or for one of them to go to exile!
Annie: Exactly
Roger: Well there is not much we can do now, but just hope it works out!
Bart: And even if they don’t we might still be able to think of something
Annie: Anything’s possible I guess!

Bart *I want Margie out because she has a key for the merge! So I want her out, so when I get to the merge there are less keys, so I have better odds of my key being the one that opens the secret prize and that is my main goal till I get to the merge!*

Later:
Benjamin: Treemail!
Margie: What do we have today?
Benjamin:
“How well do you know the land you live on?
Can you recall specific facts?
If you fail to remember these stats
Then you will be facing the vote”
Tracey: Sounds mental, this is your area Margie
Margie: Ya

IMMUNITY CHALLENGE:

Jeff: Come on in guys, first things first, Toliara I will take back immunity from you again!
(he takes it back and puts it on the pedestal)
Jeff: Immunity is back up for grabs! And here is how this challenge works, it is very simple I will ask you questions about Madagascar that is a number, the two tribes will talk it over and come to one answer on what they think the correct answer is. The tribe who rights down the number closest to the actual number gets the point. I will ask seven questions, it takes four points to win. Does everyone understand?
All: Yes
Jeff: Alright Toliara you are up two member, you need to sit out two people, it cannot be John or Keelie they sat out in the reward today!
Millie: Wanda and me will sit out!
Jeff: Okay with that said, take a seat on a bench and we will begin!
(everyone sits down and picks up their pads of paper and marker)

Jeff: Question one: What is the current population of Madagascar?

Toliara: 10 Million
Betioky: 7 Million

Jeff: The correct answer is over 19 Million…
(both tribes looked shocked by the big number)
Jeff: …but Toliara were closest they score the point)
(they cheer)

Jeff: Question two: What is the area of Madagascar in km squared?

Toliara: 750,000
Betioky: 3 Million

Jeff: The correct answer is almost 600,000.
(they nod)
Jeff: Betioky is way off, Toliara gets the point… it is 2-0 for Toliara!

Jeff: Question three: What year did Madagascar get its independence from France?

Toliara: 1850
Betioky: 1800

Jeff: It was actually quite recent, it was in 1960! On June 26 to be exact
(they nod)
Jeff: Toliara again is closest, that is now a 3-0 lead, Toliara needs only one more right to win immunity yet again!

Jeff: Question four: What percentage of Madagascar is water?

Toliara: 25%
Betioky: 2%

Jeff: The correct answer is 0.13%, not even close on that one, but Betioky gets a point! It is now 3-1 in favor of Toliara.

Jeff: Question five: What is Madagascar’s Density in km squared?

Toliara: 150
Betioky: 10

Jeff: Completely different answers given, correct answer is 33.4… Betioky again is closest, it is now 3-2, Betioky is catching up!

Jeff: Question six: we learned the population is over 19 Million, what was the population of Madagascar 16 years ago?

Toliara: 12 Million
Betioky: 10 Million

Jeff: The correct answer is…

Jeff: …just over 12 Million… with that said…







Jeff: TOLIARA WIN IMMUNITY FOR THE THIRD STRAIGHT TIME!
(they jump up and cheer)
Jeff: Betioky you were having a good come back, but something happened, unfortunately you are going to lose another member, but the good news is one of you will not have to attend, but instead will be exiled.
(they nod)
Jeff: On that note, Toliara who are you going to exile? It cannot be Margie or Bart…

(they all lean in very nervous and anxious)

(Toliara is discussing it)





Wanda: We are going to exile…







Wanda: … Benjamin!
(Roger, Annie and Bart all light up with a smile)

Jeff: Alright Benjamin here is a map to exile, you will not have to go to Tribal Council and because of that you will rejoin your tribe members once Tribal Council is over.
(he nods)
Jeff: As for the rest of Betioky, again Tribal Council, one more will be going home! I’ll see you then! You can all head back to camp!
(they leave)

Wanda *We know Margie the weak link so we want to send stronger people to exile to weaken their tribe and if or when they do vote off Margie, then we can send who we think is their weakest link then, rather than now!*

Exile:

Benjamin *Well I am here at exile, I would have rather just went to Tribal Council, with Tracey and Margie, so we can use our majority, but I have faith in Tracey that she can get Roger again or maybe one of the other two to pull something together*

(Benjamin walks up to the podium)
Benjamin: Humm

Benjamin *According to the note I read everyone who comes here, gets to pick one key and who’s ever key unlocks a prize at the merge gets to keep it, so that is very interesting to me!*

Benjamin: For some reason I am feeling number three is my luck number!
(he picks the third key)
(leaving 1, 2 and 5 left)
Benjamin: Let’s just hope I can make merge and this is the right key

Benjamin *I have had a rough start out here, but it’s gotten better, but if this key works out in my favor then it would turn everything around! I just hope Bart doesn’t get the prize, I don’t trust him!*

DAY 9:

Betioky:

Annie *We were praying that if we lost immunity that either Tracey or Benjamin would be sent to exile and luckily our dreams have been answered! They picked Benjamin, so today should be a simple vote since we have majority*

(Tracey and Roger)

Tracey: Can I talk to you?
Roger: Ya sure
Tracey: What do you think of voting off either Annie or Bart tonight, probably Annie!

Tracey *I need to pull one more person in with Margie and I, so we can keep our majority, with Benjamin on exile it all comes down on my shoulders, so I really hope I can deliver!*

Roger: Why would we want to do that? Margie is so much weaker!
Tracey: Ya maybe so, but you seen how Annie just flew off the handle when we got back from Tribal Council last time, she is a loose cannon and I just think it would be better off if we just sent her home, I don’t trust her!
Roger: I see what you’re saying, but wouldn’t it make more sense to vote the weak link, then while we still have the majority then vote off the loose cannon!’
Tracey: Maybe, but I would just like to get Annie out, she worries me, she can be smart and that is nerve raking!
Roger: Well I will probably go with you, but I need to think things through!
Tracey: Alright, just get back to me!

Roger *Tracey is trying to work me to get Annie voted out, I just said I would probably vote with her, but there is no chance I would do that, I mind as well just go home now if I did that! But I need her to think I’m in her back pocket!*

(Roger, Annie and Bart)

Roger: Tracey was just talking with me!
Bart: What did she say?
Roger: She’s trying to convince me that Annie is a loose cannon because she ‘flew off the handle’ after the last Tribal Council and how we should try and vote her off
Annie: F***ing b****!
Roger: Now, now, obviously we are going to vote together and vote off Margie tonight, no problem!
Annie: I don’t know, I am very tempted right now to vote off Tracey, she is driving me nuts, she is so annoying!
Bart: No, we need to vote off Margie, she is the weak link, she is the one we need to go for!
Roger: Besides Tracey is the only other one on their side that can be exiled, we need to keep her for that reason alone!
Annie: I don’t know, with the way she is acting I am just so tempting to vote her out, it would make for a beautiful blindside, just like what she and Benjamin did to Paula three days ago!
Roger: Now I am confused!
Bart: We are voting for Margie!

Bart *Margie is who I want out, it is the only reason I am with these guys, she needs to go because she has that key, if she keeps pushing Tracey, I would rather vote with Tracey and them for Annie, just to show her to stay focused next time in life!*
Margie *I am worried a bit tonight, but I think Tracey got Roger on board and the three of us are voting for Annie, Bart might even join in with us on that!*
Annie *I would love for us to vote off Tracey just because of how b****y she is being, it would make my day. Also it would get her back for leaving me in the dark last time!*

TRIBAL COUNCIL #3:

Jeff: Come on in Betioky, please take a seat!
(they all sit down)
Jeff: Well here we are again, third time in a row here at Tribal Council! Why do you think this keeps happening, I mean you can lose a few challenges in a row from a bad round. But three, you have to see there is something this tribe is missing after 5 challenges in a row! Roger?
Roger: I really don’t know what it is, on paper this tribe is awesome, we should be winning stuff, but we just aren’t, I don’t know what it is, but I hope we find out soon and fix it!
Jeff: Annie after coming here so many times this early, how is your voting strategy changed?
Annie: It really hasn’t, I vote for who I think will help me personally get further. So if someone is in my way, I am voting for them! So it stays pretty much the same!
Jeff: Margie, you received two votes last time, worried that, that could be sign for something coming up in the near future?
Margie: I do, I mean I know certain people want me out and I am doing my best to survive and keep going, specifically the merge…
(Bart shakes his head)
Margie: …so I will just hope I can survive, not much else I can do now!
Jeff: Bart, you shook you head their, what’s on your mind?
Bart: Just when Margie brought up the merge! I mean, she wants to make it to the merge because she will be invisible then, she won’t be a threat so she will skate to the Final 4, so that alone could be dangerous
Jeff: Any comments to that Margie?
Margie: If that happens it would be great, but I just want to make merge, because that was the personal goal I set for myself when I first got here!
Jeff: Tracey, is tonight a hard vote?
Tracey: A little, I mean we are losing people so fast and you get to know them even faster, it’s hard to vote for people who have almost been you second family! It sucks!
Jeff: Well it’s time to vote, Annie you are up first…

Margie: Alright, it’s been fun guys!
Jeff: Margie I need you to bring me your torch!
(Margie hugs everyone and goes to Jeff)
Jeff: Margie your tribe has spoken! It’s time for you to go!
Margie: Good luck guys!
All: Bye
(she leaves)

Jeff: Well Margie left gracefully, yet still disappointed! After three Tribal Council’s you guys are outnumbered 8-5, you really need to pick it up if you want a shot at winning this game! You can all head back to camp where Benjamin will be waiting for you!
(they leave)

Previews:
- Betioky is still paranoid on who will be sent to exile should they lose
- Someone might have made a fatal error at the immunity challenge
- Last minute scrambling before Tribal Council makes no one sure what is going on
- And another person will be voted out

Margie’s final words: Well this was a fun time, I lasted 9 days, which I guess isn’t that bad, I had more potential then I thought I would have! It is annoying that had the other tribe exiled someone else, I would probably still be in there! It’s too bad Roger backed out last minute, but this is a game and I had fun playing it! Good luck Betioky!
