Survivor 11: Belize: Episode 11

Episode 11:

Previously on Survivor Belize:
- Tamara and Bert were feeling in danger of going home
- Tamara was trying to Katherine as a vote
- And Bert was trying on Harley
- At the reward challenge Elizabeth won reward and took Randy with her
- Bert tried to use that to get Libertad to unite against Corozal
- Tamara and Bert were planning on using Katherine and Harley’s promises to try and keep Tamara and Bert respectively to cause tension between them
- But when Bert won immunity it shattered the plans and gave Tamara no hope
- Tamara has hoping for the no vote round to save her, but it did not happen
- In the end Tamara went home 5-1

The Florero tribe, which will always wear forest green consists of:
- Randy Darg, the 41 year old, football coach, from Detroit Michigan (C)
- Elizabeth Harper, the 24 year old college student, from Salina Utah (C)
- Harley Trout, the 23 year old, aspiring drummer, from Boulder City Nevada (L)
- Katherine Foral, the 28 year old florist, from Norman Oklahoma (L)
- Bert Yoplin, the 29 year old, salesman, from Ashland Kentucky (L)

NIGHT 30:

Florero:

Bert *It was very clear that Tamara was going, I was hoping she could stay, but there were no other options! Now I definitely fear for me life I know if I do not win immunity I am done if we vote! I know Katherine will never side with me, so I think my only chance is… dare I say it, side with Corozal!*

Bert: Well we are down to five people! So congratulations everyone!
Katherine: We all deserve it!
Elizabeth: We do, very much so!
Bert: I am proud to still be here, I just hope I can make the finale now
Randy: Ya, I think we are all hoping for that!
Harley: Well we will find out soon enough
Elizabeth: Yes we will, I cannot wait till then!

Katherine *My goal is simply, make sure Bert does not win anymore immunity’s, cause if he does that will cause chaos! And I do not want to deal with that, I just want to send him home nice and easy like we just did with Tamara tonight!*
(they go to sleep)

DAY 31:

Harley *I had an alliance with Bert and Katherine early on as the younger people of the tribe and with just Randy being over 29 makes it almost tempting to vote him off and have the finale full of the youth! That would be cool, but is that really worth it?*

(Harley and Katherine)

Harley: So are you worried about Bert making an alliance with Corozal?
Katherine: I don’t think so, I mean I can’t see them going through with it
Harley: What if he has immunity again?
Katherine: Then maybe!
Harley: That worries me!
Katherine: I know it is a little worry some, but we can’t let it get to us, if we do it will just make us absolutely paranoid, then we’re screwed
Harley: Well I just think we should make a plan B
Katherine: Like what?
Harley: Make a fake alliance with him to three and if he wins immunity then we’ll actually go with it, because if we try to align with him after an immunity win, he’ll know that is the only reason we would align with him!
Katherine: Ya but what if tells Randy and Elizabeth?
Harley: We’ll deny it and say he is making stories cause he’s desperate
Katherine: What if they somehow over hear it?
Harley: We’ll talk in the water, very lightly, so we know no one is around us
Katherine: I don’t know
Harley: I think it would be very smart
Katherine: Well I suppose if we cover all of our tracks!
Harley: It would be smart, we’ll just feed him lies like we don’t trust going to four with them cause we fear a tie
Katherine: Okay fine, but it has to be practically right before the immunity challenge to make sure he has a little time as possible to make it backfire on us!
Harley: Fine that sounds like a good deal!
Katherine: Alright!

Harley *Me and Katherine came up with a plan to make a fake deal with Bert, that way if he does win another immunity we know we will not be the ones that end up going home! I think it’s brilliant! It covers all of our tracks!*

(Bert, Randy and Elizabeth)

Bert: Guys I want to talk with you all
Randy: I think I can guess what about
Bert: I bet you know, but listen, those two are very close, you can take me to the Final 3, then ***uming I lose immunity, you will have easy access to the finals. But if you go to Final 4 with them it could be a tie
Elizabeth: What’s in it for you?
Bert: Well I get third instead of fifth and if I do win the final immunity challenge, then I have a shot against the jury and it assures that worst case scenario at least one of you can be there too. But with them you could be fourth and third
Randy: That is true
Bert: I really think it would be in your best interest to go with me on this, I mean you two seem like great people and I think you both deserve the money, so I think you should go for it, it would be smart
Randy: Well it is still a while before Tribal and even longer if this is the no vote round, so we’ll keep it in mind, because it is an intriguing offer
Elizabeth: We’ll keep you posted!
Bert: Thanks guys, it would be smart for you to do this!
Elizabeth: We’ll think about it!
Bert: Awesome, thanks guys!

Bert *I think Randy and Elizabeth are really thinking through my proposition! I think they would be very smart to go by it and I think it would be great for me because it would get me to Final 3 and I can watch Katherine go out before me!*

Later:
Harley: Treemail everybody
Randy: What does it say my friend?
Harley:
“Can you get through a maze without walls?
Find your way through empty space
First to get to the other end will win a prize
And take home victory for their pride!”
Katherine: There has got to a catch to that
Bert: Must be

REWARD CHALLENGE:

Jeff: Come on in guys, welcome to your next reward challenge!
(they nod and smile)
Jeff: Here is how the challenge works, you will have to maneuver through a maze with no walls, while holding a poll that leads through the floor to the second level, on that second level there is walls!
(they all smile)
Jeff: So you will not be able to see the walls but you still must avoid them. The tracks on the floor are many squares with padding in the cracks, so you cannot see through them. The only hint you will have is you will be wearing a belt that is holding a long paint roller that will be marking where you have been and where you have reached a dead end! First one to get to the finish line will win! Does everyone understand?
All: Yes
Jeff: Oh and just so you know, these polls will not just be dangling, you will be partnered up with someone from home…
(they all start screaming)
Jeff: … and they will be blindfolded and their arms will be tied, so you will be crashing them into walls all through this challenge
(they look empathetic)
Jeff: Let’s bring out your partners…


Jeff: Randy it’s your wife Mindy!
(Mindy comes out)
(Randy hugs and kisses her)
Jeff: Elizabeth your brother Jason!
(Jason comes out)
(Elizabeth hugs him)
Jeff: Harley your dad Robert!
(Robert comes out)
(Harley hugs him)
Jeff: Katherine, your mom Rebecca!
(Rebecca comes out)
(Katherine hugs her)
Jeff: Bert your girlfriend Tricia
(Tricia comes out)
(Bert hugs and kisses her)

Jeff: Alright, now that everyone is out and excited, let’s begin, I already explained to your loved ones how this will work!
(they nod)
Jeff: And if you haven’t figured it out yet, you will be playing for 16 hours with your loved one! They will be able to go back to camp with you, discover what you have been through and spend one night in Belize, in the morning they will head back! Worth playing for?
All: Definitely
Jeff: Then I will give you all a minute for strategy…
(2 minutes later)
Jeff: Okay everyone is in place… SURVIVOR’S AND LOVED ONES READY! GO!!

All five Survivor’s start walking through the wall-less maze
The five loved ones have the poll through a belt and are walking blindly and with their arms tied
Elizabeth moves Jason quickly into a wall
Jason: Oww
Elizabeth: Sorry
Everyone seems to be moving cautiously, no one wants to slam their loved one into a wall
Randy hits a wall
Bert hits a wall
Katherine hits a wall
Harley his a wall
Everyone seems to having a lot of trouble early on in this challenge

~5 minutes later~

Harley/Robert, Katherine/Rebecca and Bert/Tricia all seem to be in the middle of the maze, they are making progress
Elizabeth/Jason moving slowly through this, but they are making progress
Randy and Mindy are stuck, they can’t seem to find the way out of the rut they are in
Everyone moving well
Harley/Robert seem to be on a streak through walls, is it leading to a dead end or are they nearing the finish
Katherine/Rebecca also getting through some walls
Bert/Tricia a little confused
Elizabeth/Jason moving, but not sure they are going anywhere
Randy/Mindy following their tracks back to the start, they are going to try a new route
Harley/Robert very close to the exit, Harley is 1 foot away from it, but cannot get Robert through the wall that is there
Katherine/Rebecca closing in on Harley/Robert, it’s going to be between them two
Harley/Robert stuck on that wall
Katherine/Rebecca make it to the same problem, who will get themselves out first
Bert/Tricia trying to catch up, they are not far
Elizabeth/Jason reach the half way point
Randy/Mindy finally making some progress, but it might be too little too late
Harley/Robert and Katherine/Rebecca racing through the maze, trying to get a way out of this rut
One of them finds a hole on the opposite wall away from the finish, but it leads in a U-turn heading for the finish, they run for it!
Someone runs through the finish…























Jeff: KATHERINE AND REBECCA WIN REWARD!
(they cheer, unclip themselves from the poll and hug each other)
Jeff: Congratulations Katherine and Rebecca, you haven’t seen each other in over a month and now you can spend a day together in Belize!
(they smile and hug each other again)
Jeff: Unfortunately for the rest of you, you need to say your good byes to your loved ones till you get back home!
(they all say good bye to their loved ones)
Jeff: You can all head back to camp, including you Rebecca!
(she smiles)
(they all go back to camp)

Florero:

Katherine *Winning the reward was great, I get to see my mom for longer and that is amazing on it’s own! Plus it more so proves I am not as weak as I know some people wanted to think I am so HA to them! (she laughs)*

Katherine: Well mom, this has been my home for the last 31 days!
Rebecca: Wow, this is surreal!
Elizabeth: That it is!
Rebecca: Wow I’m impressed, with all of you, I don’t think I could do this, not for this long anyway!
Bert: Well till tomorrow this is your home too, so feel free to treat it that way
Katherine: Here, I’ll show you around
(Katherine starts showing her mom all the places)

Harley: I was so close to having my dad, it kind of sucks!
Bert: I know, I wish we could have all brought our family back to camp with us!
Elizabeth: Well what can you do!

Harley *Coming so close to winning a reward as rewarding as this one, it really sucks! I almost wish I would have come in last so that way I didn’t get my hopes up, but what can you do! I tried at least!*

(Katherine and Rebecca)

Katherine: So this is our watering hole, where we collect the water!
Rebecca: That is amazing Katherine!
Katherine: Ya, it’s been interesting
Rebecca: I can see that
Katherine: So be honest are you surprised I am still in the game?
Rebecca: I knew you had it in you, it’s just how the cards played out, so no I’m not that surprised!
Katherine: A lot of people who are gone were targeting me cause they thought I was weak!
Rebecca: Well you showed them!
Katherine: Exactly!
Rebecca: So how are you doing in the game right now? You feeling confident?
Katherine: Well I know Bert wants me out, so he is after me, but he has no control in this game, so it will be no problem to send him packing, so no worries about that! Once we reach four it’s all for one and one for all, so it’s just a matter of seeing how the cards all play out!
Rebecca: Wow, well good for you sweetheart!
Katherine: Ya, I am really proud of myself, I think I am doing great out here!
Rebecca: You should be proud, it is not hard to survive out in this place for over a month! And on top of that, you are looking great, we are doing a wonderful job!
Katherine: Thanks mom
Rebecca: I love you sweetheart
Katherine: I love you too!

Rebecca *I am so proud of Rebecca these are not easy living conditions and she is doing wonderfully at it and she has herself in a good spot in the game. And this is not an easy game, so I am very proud, I know I couldn’t do it and she is striving at it!*
Katherine *Having my mom here is it great moral support to keep going for the last 8 days, so I am totally ready to take whatever I have to head on and keep charging through this game!*

NIGHT 31:

Harley: Well time for Rebecca to see what a night is like here
Rebecca: I don’t think I have ever slept outside before!
Katherine: It’ll be fun, it’s neat sleeping under that stars!
(they go to sleep)
(Rebecca struggles to find a comfortable position)
(eventually everyone is asleep)

DAY 32:

Rebecca *Last night was probably the worst sleep I have ever have! I mean the shelter was good considering what they had, but I mean compared to what I am used to it is awful! Everyone seemed to fall asleep within like 30 minutes and maybe woke up two or three times in the night! I swear it took me like 3 hours to sleep and I was waking up constantly, I don’t know how they did this for 31 nights!*

Katherine: How did you sleep mom?
Rebecca: I’ve had better!
Harley: Ya the first night is the worst, if you were to stay out here longer, you’d adjust!
Rebecca: I don’t think I’d want to!
(they laugh)
(the boat comes in to pick up Rebecca)

Rebecca: Well there’s my boat!
Katherine: I don’t want you to go!
Rebecca: I know I don’t want to leave you either! But I’ll see you when you get home! Only a few more days!
Katherine: Definitely!
(they boat gets to shore)
Rebecca: Okay baby I love you and I’ll see you soon!
(they hug)
Katherine: I love you too!
(the boat drives away)
(they wave good bye to each other)

Katherine *Having my mom here was amazing, I adore her, we are best friends and I am so happy I got to see her out here and now I am ready to win it for her and the rest of my family!*

Elizabeth: You have a good mom there Katherine
Katherine: Thanks! I know I do!

Harley *After all the excitement of Katherine’s mom being here was over, me and her had business to attend to, we needed to get our plan B into action and we needed to do it before the immunity challenge took place!*

(Katherine and Harley take Bert out into the water)

Harley: Okay man, we want to talk to you!
Bert: What is it?
Harley: We are willing to form our original younger alliance back together to take Elizabeth or Randy out at the next Tribal Council!
Bert: Well that’s great!
Harley: So we just wanted to make sure you were still good with the three of us!
Bert: Ya, Katherine, we’re all good?
Katherine: It’s just business
Bert: Alright, well awesome guys and I am very pleased
Harley: So we’ll talk after the immunity challenge on who we would like to target! I mean if one of them win, then it will be very clear, but if not we need to talk!
Bert: Of course! Alright, well thank you guys very much I am so glad to know I am not going to be a walking target!
Katherine: Sure
Harley: Okay sweet, glad to hear it!
Bert: Awesome!

Bert *I asked Randy and Elizabeth for an alliance then the next day, Harley and Katherine offer me the same thing I just offered the other two, so that is hilarious! I am pretty sure, they are serious, I mean I don’t know what they would gain from asking me for a deal then breaking it, so I am confident that I could very well be safe no matter what happens!*

Later:
Elizabeth: Treemail everyone!
Randy: What’s it say this time?
Elizabeth: It says,
“Can you carry your own weight today
Over the terrain and water
If you can overcome the struggle and pain
Another three days will be coming your way”
Bert: Sounds good
Katherine: Let’s do it!

IMMUNITY CHALLENGE:

Jeff: Come on in guys, welcome to your next immunity challenge! First things first, Bert I need to take it back!
(he takes it back)
Jeff: Okay immunity is back up for grabs! Okay here is how the challenge works today, you will run with a wheel barrow down the terrain to pick up five sand bags. Each sandbag weighs 20% of your own body weight. Once you have all 5, totally the same as your own body weight you will continue on to the ocean, load the sandbags onto your raft and paddle out to a buoy, on the buoy will be another sandbag, weighing 100% of your body weight. Then you will paddle back and reload all six back onto your wheel barrow and drag it back which will now be twice your body weight! First back to the start with all six bags win immunity. Does everyone understand?
All: Yes
Jeff: Okay I will give you a minute for strategy…
(2 minutes later)
Jeff: SURVIVOR’S READY! GO!!

All five dash out to start collecting their sandbags
Right now it is no problem as the drag empty wheelbarrows
Harley is first to pick up a sandbag
Bert right behind
Then Randy
Then Elizabeth
Followed by Katherine
Everyone moving quickly
Harley gets his second one
Randy gets his second one, he is trying to catch up to Harley
Bert gets his now
Elizabeth and Katherine both bringing up the rear with their second one
Everyone now has two sandbags
Everyone is starting to slow down slightly
Harley and Randy both get their third sandbag
Everyone else falling more so behind
Bert gets his third
Katherine, then Elizabeth with theirs
Randy right after gets his fourth, he is forming a lead
Harley not far behind with his
Bert then gets his fourth
Then Katherine
Then Randy with his last sandbag
Then Elizabeth with her fourth
Randy now starts to unload his sandbags onto the raft
Harley gets his last sandbag
He is now unloading them
Randy gets into his raft and starts heading for the buoy
Bert now gets his last sandbag
He is now unloading
Harley is now on his raft, paddling to the buoy
Katherine gets her last bag
She is unloading
Randy is getting a good head start
Bert is now on the raft paddling
Elizabeth gets her last bag, she is now unloading
Katherine gets on her raft
Bert is having trouble with the rowing
He is getting off course
Elizabeth is now on her raft, she is rowing
Everyone now rowing for the buoy
Randy arrives, he drags it on his raft, Randy is heading back
Everyone still paddling
Bert is having serious trouble, he cannot seem to get a hang of this raft
Harley arrives at the buoy, he grabs his 100% sandbag and is on his way back
No one is quitting, everyone wants immunity
Katherine reaches the buoy, she gets her 100% sandbag and is coming back
Bert finally starting to get the hang of the raft
Elizabeth gets to her buoy, grabs her sandbag and is on her way back
Randy arrives at shore, he starts unloading his sandbags onto his wheelbarrow
Everyone else trying to catch up
Harley close to shore
Randy starts dragging the sandbags back to the start
Randy moving a lot slower then before, but has some momentum
Harley gets to shore, he starts unloading
Bert finally reaches his buoy, he gets his sixth sandbag and is on his way back
Harley starts heading back, he is having trouble bringing it back
Randy moving at a good pace, this is his challenge to lose!
Katherine, Elizabeth and Bert no where close to the shore
Harley can’t seem to get moving that fast
Randy is getting closer and closer…






















Jeff: RANDY WINS IMMUNITY!
Randy: Yes!
Jeff: Randy congratulations, you are assured another three days out here, as for the rest of you Tribal Council is tomorrow, you have till tomorrow to decide who will be next on the chopping block. You can head back to camp!
(they leave)

DAY 33:

Randy *I was so happy when I won immunity, it was amazing, I just simply did not want to go home or even worry about it! So even though the odds are 50/50 that is the no vote round, I still wanted immunity to assure myself and to make myself proud for winning as many immunities as I did!*

Katherine: Way to go Randy, you did amazing
Elizabeth: Ya, you owned that challenge!
Randy: Thanks guys!

Harley *With Randy winning, it further makes me want Bert out, because the only way I would consider siding with Bert for real at this point is if we were going to get Randy out, so with him having immunity, there is no reason for me to change my mind!*

(Harley, Katherine and Bert)

Bert: So the plan is still to vote off Elizabeth?
Katherine: Well it was someone on Corozal and now Randy has immunity
Harley: Ya, so vote Elizabeth and we will be solid!
Bert: Okay awesome guys, thanks again for giving me a shot in this game!
Harley: Ya no problem Bert
(Bert leaves)
Harley: So obviously we don’t need him, but we should continue to act like we are really going through with this, incase there is no vote today, then we will need to persuade him next round if he has immunity
Katherine: Alright fine, but as long as he is the one that goes home if there is a vote!
Harley: Bert is as good as done, his only chance is if this is a no vote and he wins the next immunity challenge!
Katherine: Good, I want him out of here ASAP!
Harley: It’ll happen

Katherine *Right now it is very clear that Bert is going, he thinks we are with him, but it will be sadly mistaken!*

(Randy, Elizabeth and Bert)

Randy: Hello Bert
Bert: Hey guys, so I was wondering if you thought more of what I said to vote off Katherine tonight?
Elizabeth: The problem is, it makes sense, but at the same time it doesn’t! I mean, I guess we feel that our chances of making Final 2 would be better with you, but if you win the final immunity, we lost, you’ll beat us for sure!
Bert: I wouldn’t be so sure about that, I have caused tension!
Randy: Ya but we would have backstabbed enough people if we do this!
Bert: Well I think it would be close if you were in the finals with me! But on top of that if you go to four with them you very well might not even have a chance at the million
Elizabeth: Ya that is the very issue we were struggling with for a few days now!
Randy: It’s tough
Bert: I think it’s worth it!

Bert *Right now, I have a deal with Katherine and Harley to get Elizabeth out, that is a sure thing, but I really want Katherine out, so my question is, is it worth it to side with Randy and Elizabeth even though they are on the fence! So it’s a hard decision!*
Harley *Bert thinks he’s got this down, so he better prepare to be blindsided, despite being in the minority, I mean that is dumb! I can’t wait!*
Elizabeth *This is a hard choice for me and Randy, we want to go to four with our allies, but it might be smarter to cast them aside!*

TRIBAL COUNCIL #11:

Jeff: Welcome to Tribal Council, please welcome your jury, Art, Debra, Nahla and Tamara voted out at the last Tribal Council! Everyone please take a seat!
(they all sit down)
Jeff: Well Randy, you won immunity today, how does that feel, did you think you needed it?
Randy: Well I think I would be safe, but in a game like this, this close to the end, you cannot be sure, so I am much happier with this assurance that I do have three more days tonight!
Jeff: Katherine, you won the reward, so your mom got to come back to camp with you! How was that?
Katherine: Amazing, having family around, is like that extra support, you really need, so it was just simply amazing having her support! Plus it was nice proving all the people who called me weak wrong! So I was proud of that!
Jeff: Alright, Bert, you and Tamara stated last Tribal Council it was either you or her, but you had immunity and she went home! Now that can’t make you feel that good tonight without immunity, how worried are you that it might be you?
Bert: Very, I’d be stupid not to, I mean I want to make it to Final Four very badly and if we vote tonight and I survive, I will do that, so I am very worried for tonight! But I do have hope that I will survive!
Jeff: Harley, how does the thought that either tonight or next Tribal Council no one will go home affect you decision?
Harley: Well you have to think two steps ahead, you can’t think well this person doesn’t have immunity so it makes sense to do this, because it might not be that way when the vote comes. So the smartest thing is to act like this is the no vote and prepare for next round! And if we do vote today, then it’ll be easy next round!
Jeff: Elizabeth being the only Corozal vulnerable tonight, make you worry at all?
Elizabeth: Well I don’t think tribal lines are as big of a deal anymore as they used to be, I think people are now more focused on how to get them to the finals and for them to win, then to just target the people in the minority tribe! So I am of course a little worried, but not so much for that reason!
Jeff: Well as I said, today will either be a no vote round or a regular round and whatever it is not, the next Tribal Council will definitely be whatever it is not today! With that said, I will reveal what kind of round it is…






















‘NO VOTE ROUND’

Jeff: This means that no one will go home! Which also means that Randy’s immunity becomes useless, but it does balance out since he also had immunity for the double vote round! But more importantly this means that from here on out there is no free passes, you have all survived this round to the next three days, but for the rest of game, at the rest of the Tribal Council’s someone will be going home! I’ll see you tomorrow, you can all head back to camp!
(they leave)

Hmm, I wonder who would have been eliminated if there had been a vote? It seems like it would have been Bert, Katherine and Harley would definitely have voted for him, and Elizabeth and Randy seemed to on the fence about the idea to make a big move. So I'm glad it was a no vote round!

1. Elizabeth - It's cool that she and Randy have been able to make it this far, although it didn't seem like it was that hard for them because Katherine and Harley decided to make a move early on. Nevertheless, she's done a good job of staying likable to everyone and she also has a bond with Harley that could become important later!
2. Bert - I've always thought Bert was pretty cool, although he kind of reminds me a bit of Brett from Samoa because I don't know if he's done that much strategically. I hope he makes it to the final 4 though, it would be cool to have someone from that alliance win!
3. Harley - That was a good move of him to make an alliance with Bert before the merge, and I think he's done a great job of making moves since the merge to get further in the game. I would be happy with him winning too.
4. Randy - He's alright...I think whenever I see his name it just reminds me of Randy from Gabon too much. He did a good job of winning immunity, but I hope he doesn't win.
5. Katherine - Good player but she has no reason to be so rude to Bert and she is very annoying. Begone!

My prediction is that Katherine will make it to the final 2 along with either Elizabeth or Harley, but either Elizabeth or Harley will win because they were just a lot more likable. Kind of like Natalie vs. Russell. Can't wait to see what happens!
